사람이 말을 한다는 것은 정보전달의 의미도
있지만 무엇을 하라고 지시하는 경우도 있습니다
또는 서로 의사교환을 하는 경우도 있습니다.

1. 고지동사의 정보전달

누구에게 무엇을 말하다 또는 누구에게 어떤 정보를
전달하다 라는 뜻 입니다.

① 힘이 약한 고지동사

say , shout , speak , report 등은 동사의
지배력이 약해서 전치사를 사용합니다.

He reported to me that the news is false.
He reported that the news is false.
(그는 그 소식이 거짓이라고 제게 보고했어)
(그는 그 소식이 거짓이라고 보고했어)

⇒	He reported the news to me. He reported to me about the news. (그는 나에게 그 뉴스를 report했다)

The judge said to them that he is guilty.
The judge said that he is guilty.
(판사는 유죄라고 그들에게 말했습니다)
(판사는 유죄라고 말했습니다)

She said something to me about the problem.
She said to me about the problem.
(그녀는 문제에 대해 나에게 무언가를 말했다)
(그녀는 문제에 대해 무언가를 말했다)

(1) She said to me about the problem.
(2) She said the problem to me.
(그녀는 나에게 문제점을 말했다)

영어는 인칭대명사가 앞에 오는 것을 좋아하기 때문에
(1)을 많이 사용합니다.
shout , speak , yell 는 that 절을 거의 사용하지 않습니다.

You must not shout at him.
He yelled at the other drivers.
They yelled with excitement.
They yelled out with excitement.
(그에게 소리 쳐서는 안됩니다)
(그는 다른 운전자들에게 소리 쳤다)
(그들은 흥분하여 소리 쳤다)
(그들은 흥분하여 소리 쳤다)

Someone was screaming for help.
His sister screamed out that he was crazy.
(누군가 도움을 외치고 있었습니다)
(그의 여동생은 그가 미쳤다고 소리 쳤다)

Don't speak to me like that.
I'm going to speak to him about it.
He will make a speech on human rights.
(저에게 그렇게 말하지 마세요)
(나는 그것에 대해 그에게 말할 것입니다)
(그는 인권에 대한 연설을 할 것입니다)

⇒	Children speak the truth to me. Children speak to me about the truth. (아니들이 나에게 진실을 말했다)

repeat 는 반복하다 라는 뜻이지만 고지동사의 성격도 가지고 있습니다.

To repeat this message, press 9.
They repeated to her about the news.
He repeated that life was very hard.
(이 메시지를 반복하려면 9를 누르십시오)
(그들은 뉴스에 대해 그녀에게 반복했습니다)
(그는 인생이 매우 힘들다고 반복했습니다)

rumor 는 거의 수동태로 사용됩니다.

	There is a rumor that he is ill.
⇒	It is rumored that he is ill.
⇒	He is rumored to be ill.
	(그가 아프다는 소문이 있어요)

② 힘이 강한 고지동사

tell , inform 등은 동사의 지배력이 강해서 인칭대명사 앞에
전치사를 사용 안합니다.

⇒	He told me that the news is false. He told that the news is false. (그가 나에게 말한 뉴스는 거짓이다)

⇒	He told me the news. He told the news to me. (그가 나에게 그 뉴스를 말했다)

	He informed me of her departure.
⇒	He informed (of) her departure to me.
	(그가 나에게 그녀의 출발을 알려주었다)

2. 고지동사의 명령전달

누구에게 무엇을 하라고 지시하는 경우는 당연히 사역동사처럼
문의 구조를 가집니다.

He said to me to hurry.
They shouted to him to jump.
He screamed at me to stop.
They repeated to her to be quiet.
He told me to hurry.
(그는 나에게 서두르라고 말했다)
(그들은 그에게 점프하라고 소리 쳤다)
(그는 나에게 그만하라고 소리 쳤다)
(그들은 그녀에게 반복해서 조용히하라 했다)
(그는 서두르라고 말했습니다)


3. 신호에 의한 고지

동작이나 신호를 통해서 명령 또는 정보를 전달할 수
있으므로 고지동사와 같은 문의 구조를 가질 수 있습니다.

He beckoned (to) me into her office.
He beckoned (to) me to come nearer.
He motioned (to) me to go out.
(그는 손짓으로 나를 그녀의 사무실로 오라했다)
(그는 손짓 으로 내게 더 가까이 오라고했다)
(그는 나에게 나가라고 손짓했다)

⇒	He signaled to me to start. He signaled me to start. (그가 나에게 출발하라고 신호했다)

⇒	He signaled to me for them to start. He signaled to me that they must start. (그가 나에게 당신들이 출발하라고 신호했다)

4. 상호토론

명령이나 정보전달이 아니고 서로 토론 또는 대화하는 경우가 있습니다.

	Do you talk about it with your friends?
⇒	Do you talk with your friends about it?
⇒	Do you talk to your friends about it?
	(당신은 친구들하고 그것에 대해서 이야기 했어요?)

I want to talk to him about the contract.
Let's have a talk over drinks.
I have a talk with him about our new business.
(저는 그에게 계약에 대한 대화를 원합니다)
(술에 대해 이야기합시다)
(나는 우리의 새로운 사업에 대해 그와 대화한다)

I have a chat with my friends.
I am chatting with him about world peace.
He chattered to me about his dog.
(저는 친구들과 채팅이 있습니다)
(나는 그와 세계 평화에 대해 이야기하고 있다)
(그는 그의 개에 대해 나에게 수다를 떨었다)

⇒	I disputed with him about world peace. I disputed about world peace with him. (나는 그와 세계평화에 대해 논쟁했다)

	They communicate his ideas to me.
⇒	They communicate with me about his ideas.
	(그들은 그의 생각에 대해 나와 소통했다)

	I converse with him about their ideas.
⇒	I converse about their ideas with him.
	(나는 그와 그들의 생각에 대해 대화했다)

	I will confer with him on the contract.
⇒	I will confer with him about the contract.
⇒	I will confer about the contract with him.
	(나는 그와 계약에 대해 상담할 것이다)

	We do not negotiate with them about it.
⇒	We do not negotiate about it with them.
	(우리는 그들과 그것에 대해 협상 안했다)

	We compromise with them on the contract.
⇒	We compromise the contract with them.
⇒	We compromise on the contract with them.
	(우리는 그들과 계약에 대해 타협한다)

	Do you discuss the problem with him?
⇒	Do you discuss with him about the problem?
	(너는 그와 함께 문제를 토의했니?)

discuss 뒤에 about 사용을 안합니다

She agreed that I could go early.
She agreed to let me go early.
She agreed with me about the contract.
She will agree to the contract.
(그녀는 내가 일찍 갈 수 있다고 동의했습니다)
(그녀는 나를 일찍 보내 주기로 했습니다)
(그녀는 계약에 대해 나와 동의했습니다)
(그녀는 계약에 동의 할 것입니다)


5. 고지동사의 수동태

① to 부정사가 있는 수동태

	He told me to hurry.
⇒	I was told to hurry.

	He said to me to hurry.
⇒	I was said to hurry.

② that 절이 있는 수동태

	He reported that the news is false.
⇒	It is reported that the news is false.

	The judge said that he is guilty.
⇒	It is said that he is guilty.

상호토론 처럼 동사가 목적어를 지배하는 힘이 약한
경우는 수동태가 거의 없습니다.

	I negotiate with them about it.
⇒	They are negotiated with me about it. (X)
